Overview

MinoxidilBeards ("the site," "we," "us") is an editorial publication focused on minoxidil and facial hair growth. We do not sell any physical product directly, we do not require an account to read any article, and we do not collect personal information beyond what is minimally necessary to operate a website. This page explains what does get collected, by whom, and why.

Information we collect

For most visitors, the information collected is limited to what any standard web server logs automatically when you load a page:

  • Your IP address (often partially anonymized)
  • Your browser type, version, and operating system
  • The page you requested and the referring URL
  • The date and timestamp of your visit

We do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate any forms on this site that collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment information. If you contact us by email on your own initiative, we will obviously have whatever information you chose to put in that email.

How we use this information

Server logs and analytics data are used only for three purposes:

  • Operating the site — making sure pages load, blocking malicious traffic, diagnosing errors.
  • Improving the content — understanding which articles are read, where readers come from, and which guides need to be updated or expanded.
  • Protecting the site — identifying scraping, spam, and attacks.

We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with marketers. We do not build advertising profiles on readers.

Cookies & similar technologies

This site uses a minimal set of cookies:

  • Essential cookies — required for the site to function (for example, remembering whether you've dismissed a notice).
  • Analytics cookies — used by the analytics provider described below to count visits and understand how pages are used.

Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking cookies will not prevent you from reading the articles on this site.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting web analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — which articles are popular, what countries readers come from, what devices they're on. The analytics provider may set cookies and collect the server-log-style data described above.

If we use Google Analytics or a similar provider, IP anonymization is enabled where supported, and data retention is set to the shortest practical period. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all sites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on.

Affiliate links & commercial disclosures

MinoxidilBeards is reader-supported. Some outbound links to retailers and product pages are affiliate links. When you click one of these links and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no additional cost to you.

Clicking an affiliate link typically sets a cookie on the destination retailer's site (not on ours) that associates the purchase with our referral for a limited time window — usually 24 hours to 30 days depending on the retailer. We receive aggregate commission reports from the retailer but do not receive your name, email, shipping address, or payment information.

Participating in affiliate programs does not influence our editorial rankings — see the about page for our full disclosure on editorial independence.

Third-party services

A small number of third parties receive limited information as a normal part of operating this website:

  • The hosting provider, which serves pages and maintains server logs.
  • The content delivery network (CDN), if used, which caches static assets closer to your geographic location.
  • The analytics provider, described above.
  • Affiliate retailers you choose to click through to — those sites have their own privacy policies, which govern what happens once you arrive.

We do not embed third-party advertising networks, social media trackers, or behavioral targeting pixels on this site.

Children's privacy

MinoxidilBeards is an adult health and grooming publication. The content is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data-protection laws including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and other regional equivalents. Those rights generally include:

  • The right to know what information is held about you
  • The right to request correction or deletion of that information
  • The right to object to or restrict certain processing
  • The right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share in the statutory sense)
  • The right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, reach out through the contact page and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law in your jurisdiction.

Security

We use standard security measures — HTTPS across the entire site, up-to-date server software, and limited-access administration — to protect against unauthorized access. No website can guarantee absolute security, but because we collect so little information in the first place, the surface area is small.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to how this site collects or uses information, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we may also add a banner notice to the homepage for a reasonable period.

Questions or requests

If you have questions about this policy, want to exercise a data right, or believe something on this site is mishandling your information, please reach out through the contact page. We take privacy questions seriously and respond to every legitimate request.
